Legislation is only required if something is unpopular or goes against human instinct.

Therefore if writing legislation it is very important that it is truly fair and that it is accepted by all to be fair. If legislation is passed on a minority view it will never stand the test of time. What happens is that resistance sets in which requires even more legislation to fix something that was inherently flawed. A fair society requires less laws. How does Jersey fare in all this? Not very well. The last half century most everyone in Jersey has done well. What we lack now is the ability to work together. Why cannot this be done? The reason is that our government is not accountable. The money tree of how out government spends our money is hidden from us. The evidence of mall practise on every level is hidden. The only way we can change our representation is to lay the truth bare. Now how can we do this? Only one way. We must gather in large numbers in the royal square and demand accountability. Others before us gave there lives for democracy, we need only protest in large numbers. The fact is that without this change even the rich will become poor. We desperately need the very best people in our government but as it stands the very best would run a mile from a meat grinding system that will grind anyone that does not carry the minority view of the most powerful. So it is up to us ordinary folk to save the rich from themselves. It is a pill difficult to swallow but it is the truth of it.
